Random Posts Showing At the Bottom of Content in WordPress

YourGameToday.com shows random posts at the bottom of single-page content.

Now I know there are plenty of WordPress plugins out there that I could have used to make this happen, but everyone that I dug into either costs money, which I wanted to avoid, or it didn’t quite do what I wanted it to do. Currently, this is a very basic plugin, I’m not in a hurry to revisit it because I have to work on my Ad rotator for my other site, but this accomplishes what I set out to do.

At the bottom of each of my pages on both of my affiliate sites, I now have a list of three posts, randomly selected from the entirety of the website’s archive. In the next few weeks I’m going to modify it so that only posts in the same category are selected, however, that is not overly important right now.

If there’s enough interest in this simple plugin, I may make it available. Otherwise, I’m sure many of you are already working with your own setup that accomplishes something very similar.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I’m up to. If you want to see it in action, check out any posts on YourGameToday.com or TopLevelFinds.com. Thanks!
